William D. Roller, 76, of La Quinta, Calif., died Friday, March 30, in an Ontario, Calif., hospital.
Mr. Roller was born in Dubuque, Iowa. The Roller family moved to Fort Collins, where he attended Fort Collins High School. As president of Phi Kappa Tau (1953), he received his bachelor's degree from Colorado A&M, which later became Colorado State University.
In Fort Collins, he met and married Constance Stein in 1955. After completing his military service in the regular Army, Mr. and Mrs. Roller moved to Southern California. After many years as a retailer in Corona del Mar, the Rollers retired to their Palm Desert home.
Mr. Roller is survived by his wife of 52 years, Constance Roller; his sons, Bradford and Frank; and the many wonderful friends who remember him well.
