Alvin Smith was born August 19, 1909 in Weissport, Pennsylvania the fourth son of Herbert Smith and Mary Estella (Green) Smith. Helen Green was born February 17, 1909. They were married about 1935 and had three children, Larry, Robert, and Elaine. They lived in Lehighton, PA where Alvin was owner of Smith's Appliance and Furniture Store for many years. Alvin died May 16, 1981 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
